Google Android source codes officially released!
Well the world is coming to an end as we all know it, that is if you’re not a Google Android fan. That’s because Google Android source codes are now officially available to anyone (you, me, hackers, anyone!).
Released yesterday and one day ahead of the official launch of the first Google Android based phone: T-Mobile G1 (which is today), the availability of the source means alot. It means that the famous platform could be exported off to almost any device that you can think of. It’s a complete embedded Linux package and we’ve already seen it running on various devices like the N810. The video below just reinforces to you the message that the Android Team is trying to get out to everyone, their aim and why they think Android will be successful, here’s the download link if you can’t wait to get started!
