Hey folks, it’s finally official! After much speculation (which we apologise we didn’t even want to bother reporting this time around) we have now learnt that the new generation of Nintendo’s popular handheld, the Nintendo DSi, will sport a few improvements and added features as well. The company’s new handheld will get a 17% bigger screen (measuring in at 3.25 inches), a .3 megapixel camera, a proper SD memory card slot and audio enhancements likely to be the ability to listen to mp3, adjust pitch and playback.

The new DSi will also feature a built-in browser (this is what I’ve been looking forward to!) and access to the new DSi shop. Pricing categories at the shop for DsiWare include free, 200 points, 500 points, and a premium 800 points. New DSi owners will be given 1000 points free to spend at the DSi Shop before March 2010!

I’m sure we’ll have more updates very soon and we look forward to posting some proper hands-on vids as soon as they appear, watch this space!
