Latest Wii Balance Board mod lets you surf around in Google Street View…

This is an awesome mod, probably the coolest mod after the PS3 laptop! Though this is not the first mod to be seen that involves the Wii Balance Board and Google, a previous similar one used the Wii Board to surf Google Earth, but this one is much more suited for us earthlings. I can appreciate it’s not exactly the best way to pretend you’re out and about (as opposed to… actually going out), but making use of the Wii Balance Board’s functionality for purposes other than the Wii is what I like to see more of.

You walk to move forward or lean on one foot to turn—it actually seems to work pretty well. With a giant display, you could visit New York and walk around without suffering from the gross and smelly summer, or you know, just use it as another excuse to never leave the massive pillow fort you’ve converted your living room into.
